405 East Scott

This one and one half story neoclassical home was built between 1896-1913. It features a hip roof with dormers and double hung one over one windows. The one story three-quarters pediment on the front porch roof has columns and a sawn wood balustrade. A recessed transom and sidelights with leaded glass surround the front entry. Behind the house is the original carriage house which has been converted into two apartments.

The interior has four fireplaces including a solid one-quarter sawn tiger oak mantel in the dining room where you will find more leaded glass in the windows. The foyer light fixture was salvaged from the old Knoxville Library.

Mr. Clements is only the third owner. He purchased the house in the summer of 2008 and is currently renovating the residence.
